16 brigades are sharing in T20 World Cup in Australia this time. But in the first round, the event starts with the fight of 8 brigades.
The eight brigades from the first round are divided into two groups. Sri Lanka, Namibia, United Arab Emirates and Netherlands in Group’ A’. Scotland, Ireland and Zimbabwe along with West Indies in’ B’ group. Each platoon will play one match against the remaining three opponents in the group.
The top two brigades on the points table from the two groups will qualify for the Super Twelve. The titleholders of Group’ A’ and the runners- up of Group’ B’ will play in the Super Twelve in’ Group- 2′. And’ Group- 1′ will be joined in the first round by the champion of’ B’ group and the runner- up of’ A’ group.
The first round will be played from October 16 to October 21, a aggregate of 6 days. The Super Twelve will start on October 22.
